The Programme

The first postgraduate clinical training programmes were launched in East Africa, Nairobi Kenya and Dar es Salaam Tanzania in 2004 at Aga Khan University Hospital and Aga Khan Hospital respectively. The objective of the programme is to develop specialists who will have far-reaching impact on the development of healthcare systems in their respective countries.

Family Medicine programme is offered at both sites in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Additionally, the following programmes are offered at the Nairobi, Kenya campus:

  • Anaesthesiology     
  • Anatomic Pathology
  • Clinical Pathology
  • General Surgery
  • Imaging and Diagnostic Radiology
  • Internal Medicine
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Paediatrics and Child Health
