The 11th Africa Regional Workshop of the International Society for the Study of Behavioral Development (ISSBD) will be held in Nairobi, November 4-6, 2015 at Kenyatta University. 

The theme is "Advancing Research on Vulnerable Populations by Early- to Mid-Career Scholars in Africa." 

The Regional Workshops are intended to build research capacity by exposing early-career scholars to successful senior scholars within and outside Africa. Click here for details.

Workshop venue and structure of the workshop:
The venue for the workshop is the Kenyatta University Conference Centre which is located within Kenyatta University in Nairobi. The workshop will run for three days from 4th to 6th November 2015 and will have formal presentations and interactive sessions. There will be presentations on research related to vulnerable populations and training workshops and meet-the-senior scientist sessions. In addition, the early career scholars will be expected to present a poster of some of their current or past research. Commendations by a panel of judges for the best posters presented will be awarded. Workshop themes include: 
  • Methods of research on vulnerable populations
  • Writing, publishing and dissemination of research findings
  • Practical applications of research
Registration:
There will be no registration fee for the workshop but all the workshop participants will be expected to renew their annual ISSBD subscription. Non-ISSBD members will be encouraged to join the ISSBD and requested to pay an equivalent of $5 which will be submitted to the ISSBD as their membership fee.
