  New Private Wing​

The under construction 82-bed New Private Wing will offer world-class therapeutic and rehabilitative medical facilities in a setting that offers the highest level of privacy. Set to launch in 2018, the four-storey building will overlook a lake and landscaped garden, and provide services in an atmosphere that is ideally-suited to recovering patients.


​  Center for Innovation in Medical Education

CIME is envisioned to be a multi-purpose and multi-disciplinary facility for the undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education programmes for faculty and practicing professionals in nursing, medicine, dental and allied health. The Centre will utilise advanced teaching methods to enhance the skills of health professionals.​ The CIME was inaugurated on November 27, 2015.


​  Grid Station

OR, new integrated operating room
​To meet the power requirement as we grow, it was decided by the management to construct a grid station on campus. The proposed new grid station located near the helipad will help the University meet its electricity requirements as it increases the number of facilities available on campus. The grid station was inaugurated on April 8, 2015.

​  Operation Rooms​

To cater to the growing need for in-patient surgeries, space vacated by the surgical daycare, which was moved to the Jenabai Hussainali Shariff building, was chosen to be converted into three in-patient ORs. The integrated operating rooms were inaugurated on March 27, 2015.


​  Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

The new 24-bedded neonatal intensive care unit is the only Level III NICU facility in Karachi. Located on the second floor of the main University Hospital building, the unit is an integral part o​​f neonatology services offered at the Hospital.​ The NICU was inaugurated on January 28, 2015.
